Rental Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before booking a self-drive vehicle with B.V. Rental Car.
1. Eligibility & Driver Requirements
- The renter must be at least 21 years of age (24 years for luxury SUVs).
- The renter must possess a valid, original Driving Licence (Commercial or Non-Commercial LMV) held for at least one year.
- Original Government photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card or Passport) along with local address proof must be presented at the time of vehicle collection.
2. Security Deposit
- A refundable security deposit ranging between ₹3,000 to ₹10,000 (depending on vehicle category) is payable prior to vehicle handover.
- The deposit is refunded within 24 to 48 hours of vehicle return, subject to vehicle condition and clearance of any challans/tolls.
3. Kilometre Allowance & Fuel Policy
- Each rental includes a standard daily kilometre allowance (typically 250 km or 300 km per 24 hours).
- Extra kilometres are billed at the vehicle's designated per-kilometre rate upon return.
- Vehicles are handed over on a Same-to-Same fuel policy. Renters must return the car with the identical fuel level as received.
4. Prohibited Uses
- Commercial carriage of passengers or goods for hire is strictly forbidden.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or intoxicating substances is illegal and will result in forfeiture of deposit and immediate police reporting.
- Sub-leasing, lending, or letting unauthorized drivers operate the vehicle is prohibited.
- Racing, rallies, off-road testing, or towing other vehicles is not allowed.
5. Speed Limits & Traffic Violations
The vehicle must be operated within statutory speed limits (maximum 100 km/h on expressways or speed limit governed by speed governors). Any traffic fines, e-challans, or penalties incurred during the rental tenure are the sole responsibility of the renter.
